We enjoyed a lovely potluck dinner at tonight's annual summer party.
Gail told us about a family in East Lyme who lost their home to fire during a violent thunderstorm. Our outreach committee quickly pulled together four quilts for the family.
For one daughter- made by Gail |
For teenage son- quilted by Tina |
For the parents- pieced by Charles, tied by Gail & Kate |
For second daughter- pieced and quilted by Sharon |
On to Show & Tell...
Erin made this quilt for a friend's wedding. Here is the link to the free pattern.
Margret has been very busy making baby quilts. She's getting ahead of the game with these two completed quilts.
She also made this lovely storm at sea. She picked up the kit, but wouldn't have bought it if she knew it had to be paper pieced. She's not a fan of the technique, but she did a great job!
Barbara offered this fun and easy pattern to her Facebook friends during a quilt along weekend.
Barbara also showed two completed quilts. This one was made from a jelly roll she was given.
For this one, she wanted to see if she could use some very traditional prints in a modern design. Success!
Pat showed her quilt top from the recent class with Louise.
Donna finished a UFO from a class at Quilters by the Sea.
Donna's granddaughter needed a new blankie, so Donna whipped up a sweet little t-shirt quilt.
Laurel finished her top from Louise's class, too. Everyone did a great job stepping outside their comfort zone!
Laurel also finished her spools top from the Chris Bagley class.
Tina finished a very bright One Block Wonder quilt.
Beautiful!
