Ninigret Quilters is an organization for quilters of all abilities in the Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut area. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Westerly Senior Center, 39 State Street, Westerly, Rhode Island (Google Maps) to share our common passion of quilting. Guests and new members are always welcome!

March 2020 Member Show & Tell

Pam S. finished an applique wall hanging that was started in a Connie Sue Haidle workshop

Pam S. also shared this baby quilt - made 30 years ago for her daughter.  The blocks were made by Ninigret Members and each block has an applique heart and is signed by the member.  

Our visitor from Missippi (Gail) shared three rag quilts ...

One for each of her grandchildren ...

They all wanted THEIR quilt shown to us!

February 2020 Meeting - Part 2!


We continue with our "Meet the Board" trunk show!

Treasurer Roberta (Berta) B. brought these beauties!


Secretary Jane L. first quilt ever made and she loves the "H" block so much she made two quilts with it!




Co-Vice President of Programs Tina T. took a Timna Tarr workshop and created a map quilt.  She also shared her Temperature 2019 quilt (finished at 4pm the day of the meeting!).
Co-Vice President of Programs Sharon D. showed a memory filled Christmas quilt (Bonnie Hunter's Smith Mountain Morning pattern) and a hand appliqued wall hanging.


President Pat D.G. shared her style diversity with this wall hanging and heirloom doily applique quilt.


Following break many members enjoyed a Valentine Left/Right/Center story gift exchange.  After all the business of the evening several members had quilts for show and tell.

Margaret S. shared her Halloween quilt and a Hunter Star block made a the workshop presented by Barbara C.





Cindy V. floral attic window quilt made us long for spring!



Nancy L. shared a quilt from a workshop given by Petie S. as well as a stunning 100 block quilt made during the 2019 Block a Day challenge 




Sheila H. shared "Born to Be Wild" made for her EIGTH grandchild born in Alaska!


Barb V. shared her Houses quilt which she big stitch hand quilted in eight days!

Finally, Sue C. shared a market bag made for her daughter - she upcycled her daughter's karate belt for the handles!

We have amazingly talented quilters in Ninigret!
