Our May Meeting:
We had a great time with friends, our own guest speaker, Tina C who spoke about Barn quilts, signing up for workshops, sharing our work, and more!
O my !
Ginny G has finished her quilted jacket she worked on during a recent workshop wit Rhode Island Fiber Artist, Veronica Mays. Look at the seahorses on her sleeves. How beautiful! WOW!
To learn more about Veronica Mays see her website Conaky'sQuilts

Molly shared her Blooming Nine Patch where she used fabrics that
transitioned through color changes. Nice job, Molly!
Close up:
Blaire pointed out tiny triangles in the corners of her blocks
that create a special look to her quilt.
A very nice scrappy quilt!
Blaire's quilt has a border of strips often called a piano key border. Her background fabrics create interest because they are different.
Betsy W made this quilt along with a friend so she could show her friend how to cut the same shapes out of different fabrics to make this pattern. Nice teamwork, Betsy!
Pat G shared her very interesting quilt made of jelly rolls!
Super work!
A Snail Trail Quilt made by Paula
who worked hard to keep squares straight so that pieces would meet nicely.
It came out great!
Tara works with friends who practice working with tiny pieces.
Her teeny pincushion is so sweet!
Mary Kay and Tara finished this quilt together. It was given to Mary Kay from one of her neighbors. What a joy to see this quilt completed by this team!
A wonderful Patriotic Quilt made by Margaret S!
Such beautiful colors have been combined in this quilt by Margaret S!
Our Pat G created a Quilt based on Disney's movie, Frozen by using cloth books. What a great idea!
The following are quilts made by our Outreach Committee. members of our guild work as a team to create quilts that are donated locally.
Tina C spoke to us about Barn Quilts and led us through a website that helps us find these painted wooden blocks that are in just about every state.
Tina held a workshop for our guild where members
painted their own wooden quilt blocks.
Tina painted these beautiful wooden blocks.
We have a wonderful library where guild members can borrow books,
templates, and stencils.
SO much to do at our meeting! Sign up for workshops, sign up for the postcard exchange, pick up flyers for our Quilt Show 2023 and visit with our friends!
