Ninigret Quilters is an organization for quilters of all abilities in the Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut area. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Westerly Senior Center, 39 State Street, Westerly, Rhode Island (Google Maps) to share our common passion of quilting. November, 2016 Meeting

November 15th was our annual Members Yard Sale. A great time was had by one and all.


Tora displayed three new Outreach Quilts that are ready for binding and quilting. The first two used the String Bean pattern that Tora found in Connecting Threads Magazine.

 The third Outreach quilt used pinks left over from various binding fabrics.

Quilt Show 2017 Quilt

Tina displayed the completed top of our Quilt Show Quilt. Proposed name is
Rhapsody in Blues.
Show & Tell
 Barbara B led off our Show & Tell with her 'Dance of the Universe'. This quilt combines airbrushed fabric, a handpainted tree, hand applique and ribbon embroidery.

 Barbara B brought back a 1990 quilt showing some of her friends at her home.

 Roberta B displayed her October UFO.

 Linda displayed this quilt which celebrates her dogwood tree.

 Nancy's quilt featured a Missouri Star Pattern.

 Kathy showed her completed her competely scrappy Narragansett Blues quilt 
started at the Bonnie Hunter Workshop.
Her version features a piano key border.

 Barbara C completed her Anita's Arrowhead quilt, begun at a workshop.

 Tina displayed two quilts. The first is another based on the Anita's Arrowhead pattern.

 Tina's second quilt was the result of a Barb Vetter swap based on the Broken Dishes block. The swap specified making 30 blocks featuring a solid red plus one other solid. Tina machine quilted this using red thread. The back uses a gorgeous Jane Sassman Fabric (below).
