Ninigret Quilters is an organization for quilters of all abilities in the Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut area. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Westerly Senior Center, 39 State Street, Westerly, Rhode Island (Google Maps) to share our common passion of quilting. Guests and new members are always welcome!

Our next meeting will be held on March 13th, 2018 at the Westerly Senior Center. Our speaker will be the author and designer Cary
Flanagan of Something Sew Fine Quilt Design. Cary's talk
will be on her 28-year quilt journey from beginning quilter
to professional quilt designer and author. She will have a
trunk show and vend her patterns, books, etc.

Outreach UFO's

 Ninnies, we need your help!

I've spent the past few days sorting through the outreach stash- fabric supply and projects in progress. I have picked and pulled fabric for ten new piecing projects. They will be available for you to choose from at the March meeting. Take home a kit and work on it at your own pace. There's no rush!

If you have done ANY machine quilting, I urge beg you to quilt up one of these UFO's. We have twenty-six (26) tops waiting to be quilted! Your best effort will put one of these beautiful quilts on the bed of a deserving and very grateful recipient. We will supply the batting and backing. When the quilting is done, you can bind it with the fabric provided or pass it on to someone who enjoys that step. (Yes, we have a few of those in our group!)

If you can't make it to the meeting and would like to help with any step (piecing, quilting or binding), please contact Tina. She delivers!

Let's end this post with some eye candy of our latest finish. This beauty was pieced by Maureen, quilted by Pat and bound by Ellie.

Hope to see you next week. Weather permitting!
