March Meeting 2014

Our furry friend, Toby, now has his own name tag!

Several members provided demonstrations of various techniques for the evening's program.

Donna demonstrated working with wool.

Gladys demonstrated hand applique.

In April, the outreach committee will be collecting pillowcase dresses for girls in need. Visit Dress a Girl Around the Wolrd or Little Dresses for Africa for patterns, or call Tina to have a paper pattern mailed to you.

The Outreach Committee will be holding a workshop on April 5 beginning at 10am at the Westerly Senior Center. We hope you can join us to cut, piece or press the day away! Contact Tora or Tina for more information.

Show & Tell was spectacular, as always!

Sheila is working on this quilt for her grandson, due in late April.

Mary R made this simple, sweet patchwork.

Mary stepped out of her comfort zone for this Kaffe Fasset beauty.

Mary intended to swap friendship stars, but liked them so much, she kept the blocks and made more!

Pat completed the project from Mary Ann Hatton's workshop last year.

Diane is doing a beautiful job with her second ever quilt.

Patti brought the first quilt she ever entered in a quilt show to encourage more members to show their work.

Jane has been busy with binding and handwork while she recuperates from foot surgery.

Another quilt bound by Jane.

Jane hand tied and bound this antique top that she purchased.

Nancy L designed this bold four patch to showcase the hibiscus print.

Nancy B sashed her 9-patch swap blocks with stars.

Carol brought two table toppers for the upcoming holiday.

Joyce made a Mardi Gras runner using a double diamond ruler.

Three of our students from the beginer quilting class proudly showed their works in progress. They will learn how to attach binding in the last class next week.
